Do electricians install solar panels?
Some do, but solar is a specialist trade: panel layout, inverter sizing, lines company approvals and battery chemistry. Livewire doesn't install solar. We refer it to Green AC and do the electrical side, the switchboard, EV charger and heat pump circuits, so each part is done by people who do it every day.
Will you do the heat pump wiring if Green AC fits the unit?
Yes. That's the most common job we share. One visit for the circuit and outdoor isolator, one Certificate of Compliance.
Is my home worth putting solar on?
Green AC will tell you honestly, including when it isn't. A north-facing roof, daytime power use, and an EV or heat pump are the usual signs it pays back.
Who do I call if the solar trips the power?
Call Livewire first. Most trips are a board or circuit issue we can find quickly. If it's the inverter or panels, we loop Green AC in. You won't get bounced between the two.
Can my EV charger run off solar?
Yes. A 7kW charger on a dedicated circuit will draw from the panels during the day. Livewire installs the circuit and charger, Green AC sets up the solar and any smart diverter.
