Objectives
Livewire Electrical Ltd was appointed by FSL Construction & Interiors to undertake electrical upgrades for Skechers Retail Store located at Mānawa Bay Premium Outlets in Auckland.
This involved the following scope of works:

Pre-wire installation

Fit off installation working to specific detailed design lighting

Working alongside the structural engineer to meet seismic standards

Installation of speakers and feature lighting
Case Study
The team undertaking this work was led by Kent Griffin with the electrical installation managed by Brendon Chappell, and supported by Livewire Electricians and apprentices. This team specialises in Commercial Fit-Outs across retail stores, hotels, offices and schools with high quality electrical installations delivered to time critical schedules.
Challenges
During the course of the works we encountered the following
challenges:

Working to extremely tight deadlines for store handover

Delivering the electrical installation whilst working on a very large construction site with multiple trades and H&S requirements all working to the same deadline

Adapting to changes in seismic & lighting design during the fit-out
We overcame these challenges by:

Pre-planning all material orders and ensuring correct quantities ordered and measured prior to commencing work.

Working to ensure all minor milestones were achieved during the fit-out in order to complete everyone before store handover.

Regular communication with the PM, Lead Electrician, Engineers and Suppliers to ensure any problems mitigated quickly.
Outcomes & Innovations

Skechers handed over to the main contractor on time and the store was stocked in advance of the Mānawa Bay Premium Outlets opening day

Our team maintained high levels of communication & worked closely with the Project Manager to mitigate issues & ensure successful delivery of the electrical works, on budget and on time.
